Abstrak

Tulisan ini mengkaji pemikiran Bediuzzaman Said Nursi tentang dialog antaragama dalam masyarakat yang sedang berubah, khususnya pada masa awal Turki modern (1920-1949). Pemikiran Said Nursi tentang dialog antaragama dapat menjadi terobosan bagi situasi saat ini, terutama dalam konteks modernitas dan pluralitas yang terus terjadi saat ini. Said Nursi menyatakan bahwa dalam masyarakat yang majemuk dan berada dalam masa transisi, dialog antaragama harus berupaya untuk mengarah pada upaya bersama demi perbaikan masyarakat dalam berbagai aspek. Nursi percaya bahwa dialog antaragama akan membantu masyarakat secara ekonomi dan sosial untuk menjadi lebih maju, namun tetap dalam keyakinan agamanya. Kolaborasi antaragama merupakan aspek fundamental untuk membawa suasana baru di saat yang genting. Dalam hal ini, agama dan modernitas saling memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat, tidak eksklusif.
