THE ROLE OF PANRE BOLA IN THE TRADITIONS OF THE COMMUNITY IN PATANGNGA VILLAGE, TELLUSIATTINGE DISTRICT, BONE REGENCY (A REVIEW OF THE QUR'AN)

Peran Panre Bola dalam Tradisi Masyarakat di Desa Patangnga Kec. Tellusiattinge Kab. Bone (Tinjauan Al-Qur’an)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Panre Bola in the traditions of the community in Patangnga Village, Tellusiattinge Subdistrict, Bone Regency, and to review this practice from the perspective of the Qur'an. The main focus of the research includes the definition of Panre Bola, its role in society, the factors that cause the continuity of this tradition, and the Qur'an's view of it. The method used is field research with a qualitative approach, which allows for an in-depth exploration of ongoing social and cultural phenomena. The results of the study show that Panre Bola, the local term for carpenters or traditional architects, play a crucial role in preserving local wisdom and the aesthetics of local community houses. Amidst the tide of modernization, this profession has great potential to develop when combined with contemporary architectural knowledge. Panre Bola's works have unique characteristics that attract the attention of many people. Therefore, the development of Panre Bola's skills and knowledge is essential to remain adaptive amid the changing times. From the perspective of the Qur'an, this tradition can be viewed as part of a positive cultural heritage as long as it does not conflict with the principles of Islamic teachings, thereby contributing to harmony between culture and religious values.
