Analisis Sarana Informasi Perpustakaan di Dinas Perpustakaan Kabupaten Wajo Berdasarkan Standar Nasional Perpustakaan

Abstrak

This research aims to find out the condition of the library information facilities and infrastructure in Wajo regency. This study is classified as a qualitative approach with a descriptive field research orientation. The sources of data are the Head of the Wajo Regency Library and the Heads of the Collection Management and Development Departments.

The results of this study indicate that 13 library facilities in Wajo Regency are not in accordance with national library standards, including bookshelves, journal shelves, reference bookshelves, magazine shelves, audio shelves, newspaper shelves, catalog cabinets, baggage storage cabinets, reading chairs, reading tables, internet, bulletin boards, equipment for the visually impaired, while four facilities meet national library standards, including work chairs, circulation tables, computers, and air conditioning. The infrastructure in the Wajo Regency Library is not in accordance with the national library standards, including building area, collection area, user area, and staff area. However, the library's location is strategic, located in the middle of the Wajo Regency and adjacent to the Merdeka Square, making it easily accessible to visitors.
