Efektivitas Model Problem Based Learning terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Peserta Didik
Abstrak
Peningkatan pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu tujuan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu model yang dapat mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematika melalui pemecahan masalah nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung kabupaten Gowa yang berjumlah 347 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik berupa pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung.
