This study aims to analyze the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), and the exchange rate on the number of poor people in North Sumatra Province from 2001 to 2021, with government revenue as a mediating variable. Using secondary data from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and path analysis using EViews, the results show that GRDP and TPT have no significant effect on government revenue or poverty, while the exchange rate has a significant effect on both. Government revenue does not mediate the relationship between these variables. These findings indicate that exchange rate fluctuations are the dominant factor influencing poverty, while economic growth and regional fiscal revenue have not been effective in reducing the number of poor people in North Sumatra.
