Abstract
The digital era presents serious challenges to children’s character development, such as disinformation, identity crises, and declining social empathy due to the uncontrolled use of social media without moral guidance. This article aims to analyze Qur’anic parenting strategies in shaping children’s character amid the modern flow of information. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research, examining sources of Qur’anic exegesis, hadith, and contemporary literature on Islamic education and digital media. The findings indicate that four main Qur’anic parenting strategies—namely the cultivation of tawhid and divine awareness, uswah hasanah (exemplary role modeling), tarbiyah bil hikmah (education with wisdom), and muraqabah and muhasabah (supervision and self-reflection)—are effective in fostering children’s self-control, digital responsibility, and spiritual integrity. Therefore, Qur’anic parenting plays a crucial role in nurturing a generation that is digitally literate yet possesses Qur’anic morals, capable of navigating global information flows without losing their identity and core religious values.
