ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SOAL KONTEKSTUAL BERDASARKAN TEORI JHON DEWEY DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dalam penyelesaian soal yang berbentuk kontekstual pada materi perkalian matriks dengan berdasarkan teori John Dewey, serta membandingkan tiga gaya belajar: yaitu gaya belajar visual, audio, dan kinestetik. Peneliti melakukan tes diagnostic non kognitif untuk melihat gaya belajar peserta didik dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, serta wawancara data diambil dari 32 peserta didik (10 visual, 7 audio dan 15 kinestetik) kelas XI Fase F di Sman 1 Sukakarya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode eksploratif. Analisis data dengan menghitung rata-rata dan prosentase. Peneliti mengambil tiga peserta didik sebagai subjek , masing-masing mewakili satu gaya belajar. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik dengan gaya belajar kinestetik secara keseluruhan lebih tinggi dibandingkan peserta didik yang memiliki gaya belajar visual dan audio. Dengan rata- rata kinestetik 13,19 (37,94%), visual 11,80 (33,94%) dan audio 9,78 (28,12%). Meskipun peserta didik memiliki gaya belajar yang bermacam-macam (visual, audio, dan kinestetik), semua peserta didik menunjukkan kemampuan yang serupa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika terkait perkalian matriks. Mereka semua mampu mengartikulasikan argumen, mengidentifikasi fakta, melakukan perhitungan, membandingkan hasil, dan menentukan strategi yang efektif.
