Abstract
This study aims to analyze the preferences of Muslim communities in Jambi City towards Hajj products offered by Islamic Financial Institutions (LKS). Although the Hajj is a religious obligation, many people have not yet begun financial preparation. This study used a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 selected informants. The results showed that the majority of informants had a strong preference for Hajj savings products, driven by the perception that the Hajj should be performed without debt and by the perceived sense of security and flexibility. This preference was reinforced by personal influences from their immediate environment, such as family. Furthermore, several informants considered convenience as a quick way to obtain their Hajj portion number, which they had already studied and understood. Despite the high intention to perform the Hajj, the main obstacles faced by the community in starting financial preparation were inadequate economic conditions and a lack of detailed knowledge about Hajj products. These findings underscore the importance of education from Islamic Financial Institutions to improve financial literacy and provide products that align with the community's economic conditions and spiritual beliefs.
